Around four decades, Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT) has created and upheld an enviable image among engineering educational institutes in India. With the ultimate aim of student satisfaction, RIT focuses on the policy of imparting quality education through the involvement & empowerment of our faculty. At the same time, we lay equal emphasis on research and knowledge creation. We have 55 patents registered today and 12 products commercialized.

We are self-assured in transforming a XIIth class aspirant into a professional engineer within the span of four constructive years. We ensure that our students should gain technical knowledge and develop a holistic set of skills that equip them to face real-world challenges. RIT has experienced and highly qualified faculty, who guide and monitor students in their academic, research, sports & cultural pursuits. An underlying priority is to instill in our students the commitment to their goals along with integrity and concern for the environment and rural society they live in.

Institute is successfully running academic autonomy awarded by UGC and Shivaji University, Kolhapur. We have introduced Choice Based Curriculum Structure (CBCS), an Honors and Minor scheme, and Innovative teaching–learning tools like PBL, Flipped Classroom, etc. In RIT, there is a lot of emphasis on the use of ICT tools to improve the quality of teaching. We have specially designed three choice-based verticals in the final 8th semester. The students can choose any one vertical i.e. Entrepreneurship, Undergraduate Research experience, and Industry Internship & Project as per their future plans. The students of RIT have continuous interaction with Industry through in-plant training, internships, and industry-based live projects. RIT has been consistently producing excellent academic results and encouraging placements. Our alumni can be found in distinguished organizations all over the world.

Institute has successfully completed World Bank Project named ‘Technical Education Quality Improvement Program’ (TEQIP II) with a funding of Rs. 6 crores for PG Programs and Research is driven by innovation. Institute has ranked 75th in the top 100 technical institutes as per the NIRF survey conducted by MHRD and AICTE in 2016. Most of the programs are accredited and reaccredited by NBA, New Delhi, and NAAC accredited with ‘A+’ Grades.

We have started the centre for Innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship development in RIT through NETRA (National ESDM Technology Research Academy).

We are selected by Maharashtra Innovation Society, Maharashtra with a funding of Rs. 5 Crore to spearhead the start-up movement in RIT, Also, we received 3 Crore funding from the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India. Today, we have 6 student start-ups, 12 alumni start-ups, and 18 external Entrepreneurs supported under this program.
