Objectives of Alumni Association 

• To keep a roster of all Alumni of RIT with their updated and current information.
• The Association aims to keep the Alumni connected to the College via events, guest lectures, reunions and networking opportunities.
• To promote sense of belongingness among the Alumni by being in regular contact with them.
• To provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social issues by organizing and coordinating reunion activities.
• To extend the help to the students of RIT for placement and industrial training.
• To act as a bridge between college and the industries for interaction on new developments in different disciplines of engineering.
• To assist the college to promote R & D activities, testing and consultancy.
• To assist and support the efforts of RIT in obtaining funds for development.
• To extend financial help to economically backward and deserving students in the form of scholarship for UG, PG and higher studies abroad.
• To enrich the central library by donating books and by subscribing journals in the field of engineering and technology.

Need of Alumni Association 

• To reach, engage and serve all alumni, present students by networking with one another to foster a life-long intellectual and emotional connection between the college and between the Alumni themselves.
• The association serves the need of RIT alumni for leadership, voluntary commitment, goodwill, financial support, enhancing industry academic collaboration and communications including public relations.
• RIT Alumni Association is registered under Society Registration Act. having reg. no. Maharashtra/55/11/Sangli with 5000+ alumni as members (700+ Diploma alumni as members) registered under this association.
• We conduct expert lectures to enhance knowledge of students.
• Organize industrial visits to explore the industry environment to students.
• Alumni help our students in training & recruitment.
• We quarterly publish RIT Alumni Newsletter “RIT Communiqué” which reaches to 300+ industries & all our alumni.
• Newsletter motivates and appreciates alumni by publishing their achievements and updates.
• RIT Alumni Association has a well-designed web portal for alumni communication and placement opportunities posted by alumni for graduates and post-graduates.
• Organizes annual alumni meet outside the campus in cities like Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore.
• We award every year distinguished alumni with “Prerana Puraskar”.

Roles & Responsibilities of Coordinator:

• An Alumni Coordinator is the one who devices and implements complete alumni program and is accountable for every alumni event including supervising alumni and student volunteers.
• An Alumni Coordinator manages all logistics for alumni events in support of the college. This includes looking for venues both on and off campus, request for catering and set up food and beverages, enlisting staff participants and student volunteers, gathering responses and ensuring appropriate event closure.
• Alumni Coordinators recognize assets to broaden the quality and impact of events while retaining costs. They perform research, visit sites and look for resources to aid staff to come up with decisions regarding event possibilities. They work together with salesperson to create event preparations as necessary.
• Alumni Coordinators supply a record of every single alumni transaction. They should report updates and aspects of alumni career with a view to assist other alumni, students and the college.
• Alumni Coordinators should develop an efficient Alumni Association an optimistic image and good will. Systematize annual graduation ceremony, show portfolios in order to get in touch with the graduates.
