Achievement of students in GMRT Science day exhibition
Students from the Final Year B.Tech, Electronics and Telecommunication Department of our esteemed institution have yet again made us proud by achieving 1st rank in a national-level project competition. Mr. Pratik Shivanand Hiremath and Ms. Shruti Sachin Chougule participated in the competition organized by GMRT (Gaint Metrewave Radio Telescope) Space Station and National Centre for Radio Astrophysics Pune on 28th February and 1st March 2023. Their project, titled 'IoT-based Saline Monitoring System,' stood out among the 650+ projects showcased at the event.
Dr. A. B. Kakade guided the duo, who emerged as winners in the engineering project category. And this duo was accompanied to GMRT by Prof.Ketaki Sawashe. The event, which hosted one of the largest science day exhibitions, attracted a massive audience of over 25000+ visitors. Over 70+ engineering projects from 12+ different states across India were exhibited at the event.
The project, 'IoT-based Saline Monitoring System' aimed to improve the monitoring and delivery of saline to patients. The system incorporated IoT-based sensors that accurately monitored the saline level in the bottles and alerted the hospital staff in real time, ensuring timely refills. The system's ease of use and affordability impressed the judges, who declared it the winner.
Pratik Shivanand Hiremath and Shruti Sachin Chougule's achievement is a testament to our institution's commitment to nurturing innovative and talented students. We congratulate them on their success and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
